Engineering

The Engineering Team is a team of professional staff that is dedicated to the assessment, design, construction and implementation of system upgrades as well as new development of the City of Lloydminster’s water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, transportation and drainage channel infrastructure. Our team of dedicated personnel work closely with other City of Lloydminster departments to review, assess and implement capital infrastructure programs to improve our systems capacity, resilience, safety, resident mobility, as well as forecast for future expansion and development within and adjacent to the City of Lloydminster. The programs completed by the Engineering Team range from traffic flow assessments and municipal infrastructure upgrades, to storm channel improvements.

The Engineering Team maintains and regularly updates the City of Lloydminster Master Plans and Documents. The Master Plans form the baseline from which system upgrades and improvements are derived as well as provides a road map for future development and expansion of the City of Lloydminster to ensure all neighbourhoods within the City of Lloydminster receive the same level of service regardless of location.

The City of Lloydminster Municipal Development Standards has been prepared to guide designers and the development industry in the design of municipal improvements, systems, and lots that will meet the requirements of the City of Lloydminster. These standards will be reviewed on an annual basis, with updates provided as required; persons in receipt of and using the Municipal Development Standards are required to ensure they have the latest revisions.

Below are the 2021 Revision Memorandum and revised forms. These documents are deemed to be in effect and form part of the Municipal Development Standards as of January 01, 2022.

The following are two videos featuring three-dimensional artist renderings of the proposed concept for the North-South Corridor Project.
