Lloydminster, AB/SK— The City of Lloydminster is installing ‘Winter Maintenance Activity - No Parking’ signs along Priority 2 route roadways. These new signs are an extension of the City’s Winter Roadway Maintenance Policy, approved by Council in 2023.

Lloydminster, AB/SK— The City of Lloydminster received the Economic Development Renewal Project – Medium Community/Region award at the Economic Developers Alberta (EDA) Awards on Wednesday, April 9, for its Central Business District Rehabilitation Project.

Lloydminster, AB/SK— City Council approved the Advocacy Priority List for 2025 at the Regular Council Meeting on Monday, April 7, 2025. This list will direct resources toward key advocacy areas.
Lloydminster, AB/SK—The City of Lloydminster, in partnership with ATCO, the Lloydminster Construction Association (LCA), and the Lakeland Regional Safety Committee (LRSC), will hold a ceremony on April 28 to observe National Day of Mourning. The event will take place at the City Hall parking lot, beginning at
9:30 a.m., to honour those who have lost their lives or have been injured in the workplace.
When the term “deficit” arises, it usually raises concern for anyone on a board, within an organization or on a council. Anyone involved in organizing something that involves money—or profit and loss—can understand the uneasiness that comes with the possibility of a deficit. On the other side of the coin, there’s often excitement and satisfaction when an event, fundraiser or campaign generates a profit or surplus.
Lloydminster, AB/SK— Residents and businesses are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and take part in Lloydminster’s annual Community Cleanup, which features two seasonal initiatives: Pitch-In Week, presented by Mary Brown’s, and the Household Recycling Roundup, presented by Alberta Recycling Management Authority.
Lloydminster, AB/SK – The Fill The Seats Radiothon hits the airwaves on April 9 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on New Country 95.9, inviting community support for Cenovus Energy Hub. The Friends of Cenovus Energy Hub and the City of Lloydminster aim to raise $25,000 during the 11-hour broadcast to help fund the facility's construction, with doors set to open fall 2025.
