June Update

As we move into the midway point of 2024, June is shaping up to be an exciting month full of activities in and around Lloydminster. A number of golf courses, tennis courts, trails and parks are just waiting for you to explore.

The next Council meeting is Monday, May 27, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. Monday's meeting is available in person and via livestream. 

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster will begin restoring the iconic Old Minster Log Church, which dates back to the early 1900s. This significant project, which aims to preserve a vital piece of Lloydminster's heritage, is anticipated to begin in early summer.

Administration Presentations

1. Administration presented an update regarding Cenovus Energy Hub construction. The 19-page report is available online at CenouvsEnergyHub.ca under News & Updates. The Committee accepted the project update as presented.

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster will provide the following civic services and hours of operation in lieu of Victoria Day:

Edmonton - As the weather warms up, most Albertans are spending more time outdoors, and often away from their homes. Not securing your property can make you a prime target for theft.

Lloydminster, AB/SK - Lloydminster City Council passed the first reading of the 2024 Mill Rate Bylaw, which proposes an approximate $5.40 per month increase on a residential property valued at $285,000 and an approximate $56 per month increase on non-residential properties valued at $750,000.

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Lloydminster Public Library (LPL), in partnership with the City of Lloydminster, will explore the feasibility of adopting a municipal operating model.
