Weaver Heritage Park
Weaver Heritage Park is located at 4515 44 Street, Highway 16 East and 45th Avenue.
Weaver Heritage Park is closed for the season and will reopen in May Long. Admission is by donation, however we kindly ask that guests check in with us at the reception building.
While many of the outdoor buildings are closed to the public, the following displays are open for viewing:
Rendell House
Celebrated as the first timber framed residence in Lloydminster, Rendell House was built in 1903 by Barr Colonists Alice and William Rendell. Originally located roughly where the Rendell Centre plaza is located today, the building was moved to the museum in the late 1980s. It was restored in 2016 through the generous donations of the Richard Larsen Barr Colony Foundation and represents the Rendell Homestead in the year 1910. Guests can request a guided tour with our knowledgeable staff.
Barr Colony Heritage Society Showroom
The showroom displays restoration projects by the museum’s dedicated volunteer group, the Barr Colony Heritage Society. The Heritage Society maintains, repairs, and restores the museum’s vintage farm equipment and vehicles so that they may be enjoyed by future generations.
Implements Shed
The implements shed contains working antique farm equipment and vehicles from the museum’s heritage collection. Many of the items on display have helped build Lloydminster’s farming industry and are preserved and maintained by our dedicated volunteers with the Barr Colony Heritage Society.
Log Cabin
Rehabilitated as a semi-outdoor classroom by the Richard Larsen Barr Colony Foundation, the Log Cabin allows the museum to host seasonal programming and school field trips. Visit our Facebook page to find out what we have scheduled during your visit!
*Please note that the site is not accessible to those with limited mobility. We can make alternative arrangements for those with limited mobility with advance notice.
We would like to extend a special thanks to the Richard Larsen Barr Colony Foundation (RLBCF) for fundraising and restoring our historic buildings and equipment. If you wish to learn more about the RLBCF, please visit rlbcf.ca or their Facebook page.
