Lloydminster RCMP complete multi-day crime reduction initiative

Lloydminster, AB – Lloydminster RCMP is pleased to announce the success of a multi-day crime reduction initiative to enhance community safety and reduce criminal activity within Lloydminster.

On March 13 and 14, 2024, Lloydminster RCMP, with the assistance of the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, patrolled high-crime areas, conducted targeted enforcement operations, and engaged with members of the community to address concerns and gather valuable information. 

During this initiative, RCMP officers focused on various priorities, including:

  • Increased patrols in areas experiencing elevated criminal activity.
  • Collaborative efforts with community stakeholders to address specific concerns.
  • Deployment of specialized units to target prolific offenders and hotspots.

Additionally, several arrests were made, 11 arrest warrants were executed, three new criminal charges were laid, and various contraband was seized. RCMP also recovered one stolen vehicle and a stolen firearm.

The success of this initiative underscores the importance of proactive policing and the invaluable partnership between law enforcement and the community. RCMP extends its gratitude to residents, businesses and partner agencies for their co-operation and support throughout this endeavour.
