Lloydminster Fire Department secures equipment funding from Cenovus

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The Lloydminster Fire Department has received funding from Cenovus to purchase new equipment that will improve fire safety training and enhance emergency response capabilities.

The funding has facilitated the purchase of the following:

  • Fire Extinguisher Training Prop – A tool that simulates various fire scenarios, such as oven and paint can fires, enabling the department to provide practical fire extinguisher training for community members, businesses and organizations.
  • Equipment Trailer – A trailer to transport and securely store the training equipment, ensuring it remains accessible and ready for use in outreach and education programs.
  • Skid Unit – A unit designed to navigate difficult-to-access areas, such as Bud Miller All Seasons Park, annexation lands, and encampments, improving the department's ability to respond to emergencies in these locations.
