Lloydminster Fire Department responds to structure fire at Pioneer Lodge

Lloydminster, AB/SK – At approximately 2:25 p.m. on September 9, 2024, the Lloydminster Fire Department was dispatched to a confirmed structure fire at the Pioneer Lodge. Fire crews arrived on the scene, located the fire and were able to extinguish it quickly. In addition to fire suppression efforts, traffic control was implemented in the area, and a full evacuation of the structure was initiated, with more than 170 residents and staff safely evacuated.

The Lloydminster Fire Department is continuing its investigation into the cause of the fire, which is not considered suspicious at this time.
