Lloyd Votes: Official results for 2024 byelection, Lopez elected councillor
Lloydminster, AB/SK – More than 1,600 residents voted in the byelection on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, representing 8.2 per cent of the eligible voters.
After the ballots were counted, David Lopez was declared elected with 736 votes, with 45 per cent of the votes cast. Lopez will be sworn in at City Hall at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Lopez’s first council meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 26, 2024.
The City of Lloydminster would like to thank all those who cast their ballots and made their voices heard. The City also thanks all the candidates who let their names stand on the ballot to serve and represent the community.
