Lloyd Votes: Municipal Governance 101

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Lloydminster residents who are passionate about the local community and interested in running for City Council can now access valuable information about the role of a city councillor.

Municipalities of Saskatchewan, the association that represents Saskatchewan’s hometowns, including the City of Lloydminster, has put together a free presentation to help educate and inform potential candidates about the responsibilities that come with the position. 

With the byelection scheduled for February 13, 2024, this is an excellent opportunity for those considering a run for office to learn more and gain a deeper understanding of what is involved in serving as a city councillor.

Candidate nomination packages for the upcoming byelection are available at City Hall (4420 50 Avenue) and on the City of Lloydminster website – Lloydminster.ca/LloydVotes.
