Hydration meets community spirit: Summit Earth Services backs Cenovus Energy Hub with $30,000 sponsorship
Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster and Cenovus Energy Hub are pleased to announce that Summit Earth Services has joined the growing roster of community partners investing in the region's premier sports and entertainment destination. Through a $30,000 commitment spanning the next decade, Summit Earth Services has secured naming rights to a water filling station at the facility, supporting the community hub's amenities.
The partnership was officially celebrated during a special cheque presentation at City Hall, where representatives from Summit Earth Services joined Mayor Gerald Aalbers to formalize their investment in the community's future.
"Summit is proud to support the City of Lloydminster in the development of the new Cenovus Energy Hub,” said CEO Russel Orcutt. “The communities we serve are at the heart of our business, and we believe that fostering strong connections is what makes everyone thrive. Since our inception nearly 20 years ago, the management and staff of Summit have been active in community fundraising events, charitable activities, professional organizations and community building. As we approach this milestone, we remain incredibly proud of our employees and their commitment to making a difference in our world. For us, community involvement isn’t just a commitment—it’s a core part of our corporate responsibility.”
Orcutt also said Lloydminster has been a welcoming and supportive community for Summit.
“The new venue creates space for connections of all kinds, ensuring year-round activity for everyone,“ said Orcutt. “Water touches every part of our lives; it fuels our athletes, sustains our environment and makes our future possible. As a company focused on the preservation and restoration of our natural environment, supporting this water station is a way of giving back while staying connected to the environment."
Cenovus Energy Hub continues to gain momentum through the support of local businesses that recognize the potential of this multi-purpose facility. Each sponsorship brings the community one step closer to enjoying a world-class venue designed to serve residents and visitors for generations to come.
"We're excited to welcome Summit Earth Services as the newest partner in bringing Cenovus Energy Hub to life," said Mayor Gerald Aalbers. "Their sponsorship of the water filling station demonstrates their commitment to community wellness and visitor experience at our upcoming facility. This kind of thoughtful investment from local businesses is what makes Lloydminster such an incredible community to live, work and play."
This latest sponsorship announcement highlights the continued success of the Cenovus Energy Hub fundraising initiatives, which offer businesses of all sizes the opportunity to leave their mark on this signature project while supporting regional development.
