Fill The Seats Radiothon aims to raise $25,000 for Cenovus Energy Hub
Lloydminster, AB/SK – The Fill The Seats Radiothon hits the airwaves on April 9 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on New Country 95.9, inviting community support for Cenovus Energy Hub. The Friends of Cenovus Energy Hub and the City of Lloydminster aim to raise $25,000 during the 11-hour broadcast to help fund the facility's construction, with doors set to open fall 2025.
The radiothon is a key component of the ongoing Fill The Seats campaign, which has successfully raised $6 million toward its $8 million goal.
"The Fill the Seats campaign has shown that people in the Lloydminster area appreciate the new facility and the events it will soon bring. It also shows our appreciation of the corporate sponsors' contribution, and how much that means to all of us," said Todd Kirkpatrick, Chair of Friends of Cenovus Energy Hub.
In partnership with Stingray Media, the radiothon will feature local Lloydminster athletes, community members and businesses sharing their stories throughout the day. Listeners can pledge their support by donating and helping to build this premier facility for the community.
"Your donation, big or small, won't just help build a hockey arena and event centre, you're building an inclusive space that will allow people of all ages and abilities to make unforgettable memories,” said Don Bowey, Manager of Cenovus Energy Hub. “This facility is going to bring entertainment opportunities to Lloydminster like we've never seen before, including large concerts and major sporting events.”
Community members can support the Fill The Seats campaign by tuning in to New Country 95.9 on April 9 and donating at Lloydminster.ca/Radiothon. All contributions help bring this landmark facility to life for generations to come.
