City, Cenovus partner to bolster community connection

Lloydminster, AB/SK –The City of Lloydminster and Cenovus Energy launched an exciting initiative to enhance neighbourhood connection: the Cenovus Energy Block Party Trailer. Cenovus’s $50,000 contribution towards naming rights, purchasing and outfitting the unit demonstrates its continued commitment to our community.

The Cenovus Energy Block Party Trailer project intends to build social connections following resident feedback from the City of Lloydminster’sSocial Needs Assessment. In the 2022 report, 24 per cent of respondents indicated they did not feel a sense of belonging to their neighbourhood. The collaboration between the City and Cenovus sets the stage for more neighbourhood events that build social connections, positive mental health and community safety.

It has never been easier for residents to organize and gather on their block. The trailer will be available to all residents who wish to gather with their neighbours free of cost.
