Brief Road Closure In Effect for Portion of 40 Avenue

Lloydminster, AB/SK –The City of Lloydminster has temporarily closed traffic access along 40 Avenue between 41 Street and 44 Street. 

In preparation for future roadway improvements on 40 Avenue, the City is completing geotechnical sampling in the area. 

The work is scheduled to begin 7 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2024, and will be completed at approximately 11 a.m. the same day.  

Northbound 40 Avenue motorists will be detoured east/west on 41 Street, with southbound 40 Avenue motorists being detoured to 45 Avenue via 44 Street or 37 Avenue via 47 Street. 

Regular traffic flow on 44 Street and 41 Street will not be impeded by the 40 Avenue closure.
