Aurora Community Space offers place for play, gathering, active living

The Aurora Community Space has been designed as an inclusive and accessible space, ensuring that residents of all abilities can enjoy the playground and amenities. This effort reflects the City's commitment to creating welcoming environments that support active living and inclusion.  

The event will feature family-friendly activities such as sidewalk chalk, bubbles, games, and the chance to roast marshmallows, offering fun for all ages.   

Midwest Family Connections, a valued partner in supporting our community’s parenting and family life needs through their programs and resources, will have team members onsite to connect with families and share more about their programs and services.  

In addition, representatives from Lloydminster Co-op will be present to celebrate their contribution to the project. The Co-op Community Spaces program awarded the Aurora Community Space $50,000 to help fund the playground, creating a vibrant and inclusive space for families and children in the community.  

The event is also supported by Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Lloydminster through their Neighbourhood Block Party Program, further encouraging residents to come together and build stronger connections within the community.  

Everyone is welcome to attend this soft opening as the Aurora Community Space takes its first step toward becoming a hub for family fun, outdoor play, and community gatherings.
