During Fire Prevention Week, the Lloydminster Fire Department reminds residents advanced planning is critical to avoiding tragedy during a fire. It is also critical to develop an escape plan with multiple exits and ensure all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are functional.
The Lloydminster Fire Department is once again teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) to raise awareness for fire prevention. This year's campaign, "Make Smoke Alarms Work for YOU," focuses on raising awareness of the essential steps everyone can take to ensure their smoke alarms are functioning properly, helping protect themselves and those around them from the dangers of fires.
The community is invited to the department's annual Fire Prevention Week open house.
