Emergency Management
The City of Lloydminster keeps our community safe through emergency planning and services.
If an emergency or disaster happens, call 911 immediately and ask for police, fire, or ambulance. If you dial 911 by mistake, do not hang up; all 911 calls must be investigated.
Notification to the appropriate response organizations is the first step to getting help.
Emergency Alerts
Residents are encouraged to sign up for emergency alerts for both Alberta and Saskatchewan. These public notification systems provide residents with critical information quickly.
Alberta Emergency Alerts are issued by the communities where a disaster or emergency is taking place. You may download the Alberta Emergency Alert App to receive notifications on your Android (Google Play) or iOS (App Store) device, follow @AB_EmergAlert on Twitter and like the Alberta Emergency Alert page on Facebook.

SaskAlert is the Government of Saskatchewan’s emergency public alerting program that provides critical information on emergencies in real time. Alerts can be issued by Environment Canada, Government of Saskatchewan ministries, Crowns and agencies as well as participating local governing jurisdictions. You may download the SaskAlert app to receive notifications on your Android (Google Play) or iOS (App Store) device or visit SaskAlert.
When a critical emergency alert is issued, tune into 106.1 FM The Goat and 95.9 Lloyd FM or your local TV broadcaster for more information.
Emergency kit
In an emergency, responders may be busy helping others. Building a 72-hour emergency kit provides the supplies needed to support you and your family for three days until help arrives.
