Media Relations

The Communications department's mandate is to engage with the community and media through a selection of modern and traditional tools and platforms. Our team prepares in-depth strategies for a wide variety of initiatives and maintains a client-focused approach when addressing both public projects and the unique needs of our bi-provincial city.

Media Relations co-ordinates with media outlets to accommodate interview requests with members of Council and Administration to ensure a consistent, timely and accurate flow of information. Journalists are encouraged to use the City's website for statistics, recent news and other information. At the time of your interview request, please clearly identify what you need assistance with, contact information and deadline. To request an interview, please email Communications or call 780-875-6184, Ext. 2309.

For other inquiries that are not media related, or to provide a compliment or report a problem, please use the contact details as listed on the Contact Us page or call City Hall at 780-875-6184 for assistance.

Community Engagement

Your Voice is a connection point for public engagement opportunities hosted by Council and Administration. By participating in community engagement opportunities such as Your Voice events, public surveys, focus groups, social media discussions and public presentations to Council, you are lending your voice to decisions impacting the community we love.
