Street Sweeping

Seasonal street sweeping removes sanding materials, litter and other debris to reduce dust and make streets safer for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists; street sweeping also prevents grit and debris from entering our stormwater system. Lloydminster's street sweeping priority routes are defined in our Street Sweeping Policy.

No Parking signs are placed on the streets a minimum of 36 hours before work begins. Vehicles left parked on signed streets may be ticketed and/or towed.
All curb ramps, basketball hoops, curbside collection bins and other objects must be removed from streets prior to sweeping operations.
Residents are encouraged to sweep debris from the sidewalks on to the road prior to sweeping operations.

Seasonal street sweeping is underway within the city as crews clean the downtown and main arterial routes. Stay tuned for more information about the residential street sweeping program.
