  1. Mental Health First Aid Certification

    May 23, 8:30 AM - May 24, 4:00 PM @ Days Inn

1 in 5 (20 percent) of Canadians will personally experience mental illness in their lifetime. Only half have attempted to get help largely due to stigma around mental health. Canadians with depression report that they function at 62 percent capacity at work and in their home life. Everyone knows someone who is/has suffered with mental illness but not many know what to do when faced with someone suffering from a mental crisis. Mental health first aid certification educates individuals how to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health problems and teaches first aid skills for crisis related to substance overdose, suicidal behaviour, panic attacks, acute stress reactions and psychotic episodes. Bridges Health will be in Lloydminster for this very important 2-day course - we hope to see you there!
