Edmonton Oilers Hockey Clinic to visit Lloydminster

Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oilers and ATCO are gearing up to hit the road for the 10th annual Oilers Hockey Clinic presented by ATCO. This year's clinic, focused on grassroots hockey development, will head east visiting Lloydminster, Alberta for the first time in Oilers Hockey Clinic history.

Held at the Servus Sports Centre from May 25 - 27, 2018, the Oilers Hockey Clinic presented by ATCO is free of charge for 100 lucky participants in the community and gives players aged seven to 13 the opportunity to experience high-calibre training while further developing their hockey and life skills in a fun atmosphere.

All local players aged seven to 13 that are interested in participating, male or female, are invited to register by Friday, April 13, 2018 at 5:00 PM MT. A random lottery will follow to determine the lucky participants.

"The Oilers believe passionately in youth hockey development and are proud to support grassroots programs throughout Northern Alberta that help develop and improve the game of hockey for young players," said CEO and Vice Chair of Oilers Entertainment Group Bob Nicholson. "Thanks to the great partnership we have with ATCO, the Edmonton Oilers are looking forward to bringing one of our development programs, the Oilers Hockey Clinic, to Lloydminster, Alberta for the first time and we know that Oilers fans and the entire community will enjoy the weekend."

Kicking off the weekend, all Lloydminster and surrounding residents are invited to a complimentary Oilers Community Kick-Off BBQ presented by ATCO held on Friday, May 25 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM MT at Servus Sports Centre. The Oilers Community Kick-Off BBQ is open to the public and gives the community a chance to enjoy complimentary food, activities and the presence of Oilers Alumni alongside Hunter the Oilers mascot and the Orange and Blue Ice Crew for games and giveaways.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with the Oilers to bring this fantastic event to the City of Lloydminster," said ATCO Vice President of Marketing & Communications Carson Ackroyd. "This program will not only have an extremely positive impact on our customers but also on our people who live and work in this vibrant community. We look forward to seeing everyone at the community barbecue."
