City Residents Impacted by June 9, 2017 Flooding Asked to Submit Damage Reports

Lloydminster, AB/SK – City residents that sustained uninsurable damage as a result of the overland flooding are asked to submit a report detailing uninsurable loss (including clean-up, repair and replacement) at the Disaster Tracking Report link: lloydminster.ca/DisasterTracking. These reports help the City assess the extent of damages incurred by residents and businesses and support the City of Lloydminster’s application to provincial disaster recovery funding.

Reports may be submitted electronically or printed and delivered to City Hall by Friday, July 7, 2017 at 5 p.m.

Reports are intended for tracking purposes only and do not constitute a claim. It is neither a guarantee of a program being awarded, nor an assurance of individual funding in the event of a program being awarded.

Any residents impacted by the overland flooding on June 9, 2017 should not wait to clean up, repair, or remediate any damage. It is advised that they keep record of damages and any repairs with photos and receipts.

A provincial disaster recovery program is intended for uninsurable loss only which is limited to anything for which insurance is unavailable; not for losses which individuals chose not to insure.
