Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling Coming to Lloydminster in October

Lloydminster, AB/SK - Lloydminster will play host to the world’s best curlers this fall as the Masters – the second event and first major of the 2017-18 Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling season – begins on Tuesday October 24th 2017.

“Curling is a passion for many in our region and we are embracing the opportunity to host this outstanding event,” said Mayor Gerald Aalbers from the City of Lloydminster. “Our enthusiasm and hospitality will shine as we come together to make the 2017 Masters an unforgettable experience for all involved.”

Tickets for the Masters go on sale to the public on Friday, April 14th. For more details on the 2017-18 Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling season, please visit www.thegrandslamofcurling.com. The event will take place at the Centennial Civic Centre in Lloydminster.

Owned and operated by Sportsnet since 2012, the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling is an elite series of men’s and women's curling events which are part of the World Curling Tour and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the world. The series expanded from five to seven events for the 2015-16 season. Additionally, total prize money for the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling events increased to $2 million for 2016-17 season.
