Lloydminster Drivers Asked to Exercise Caution Following Heavy Rainfall

Lloydminster, AB/SK – Recent heavy rainfall has tested the capacity of the City’s storm water system, resulting in flooding in some areas. Lloydminster drivers are asked to exercise caution and should not attempt to drive through flooded areas.

The Environment Canada weather forecast calls for rain to end Monday afternoon and water levels are expected to recede quickly.

Flooded road ways has been reported in the following areas:
- Hill Industrial
- Nielsen Industrial
- 62 Avenue
- 49 Street
- 51 Street
- 52 Street

Drivers are also reminded to exercise caution when in the vicinity of City workers or emergency crews.

Residents may notify the City of problem areas by submitting a message through the Report a Concern page at http://www.lloydminster.ca.
