City Removes Fire Ban for Parks and Green Spaces

Lloydminster, AB/SK – The City of Lloydminster has lifted a fire ban in City parks, as recent rains have reduced fire risk in the region.

Bud Miller All Seasons Park features designated fire pits for public use, and visitors at Weaver Park Campground are also permitted to use designated fire pits within their camp sites. Park visitors are also reminded to properly extinguish smoking materials in ashtrays or designated cigarette butt receptacles.

Lloydminster residents are permitted to have backyard fire pits, but must adhere to the regulations as outlined in Bylaw 2-2008. For more information, please contact the City of Lloydminster Community Services office at 780-874-3710.

Residents are advised to always call 9-1-1 to report a fire.
